La Perla is a neighborhood near Old San Juan, Puerto Rico known for its colorful buildings and music studio. It is the site of movies and music videos including "Despacito" by Luis Fonsi, a resident of Puerto Rico. La Perla was devastated by Hurricanes Maria and Irma. I painted La Perla in honor of its residents and with hope that its creative voice is soon restored. La Perla is one of the paintings from the Puerto Rico Series in tribute to our fellow citizens and the people of the barrio.
This is an original abstract acrylic painting. The sides are painted. No frame needed.
